I am so glad you are here! I’m Deirdre, though many call me “Dee.” I’m a photographer, college student, mom to a few fur babies and the world’s coolest 4-year-old boy. I grew up on the outskirts of New York’s Hudson Valley .. in a big, loud, chaotic, passionate, messy, and immensely loving family. There are hundreds of photos my mom keeps to prove it. 

As the youngest of four, there aren’t many pictures of me in those old boxes my mom kept .. but those photos still became my safe place. As a kid, and even to this day, I spend hours flipping through them. I used to make up stories, imagining the lives of people I barely remembered or never met. Somehow, those images made me feel less alone. They helped me feel like I belonged to hundreds of different stories.

That’s where my love for photography really began .. not with a camera, but with connection.

Today, that’s what drives everything I do. My goal isn’t to take aesthetic pictures. It’s to make you feel totally yourself in my presence, and capture exactly that essence. Every event or session I work is strictly for laughter, play, mess, and exhale. I’m here to be your calm presence, your personal hype-woman, and your new friend who genuinely sees you for you. 

Whether it’s a big milestone or an everyday moment, I want your photos to feel like home. Like the photos that you could caption “as seen on my mom’s fridge.” Real, warm, full of life, love and purpose.

My hope is that maybe, someday down the line, someone else will look at our time together the way I once looked at those old family phot, and feel a little more connected, a little more understood, and a whole lot more seen.

Among all of the staged perfection we see today, I value focusing on the authenticity of the moment by documenting your events with as little intervention as possible.
